WeMatter

FAQ

Quick answers to common questions about scorecards, access, statuses, visibility, and next steps.

Where do I find scorecards?

Most people reach scorecards from the main Scorecards area, a profile page, their dashboard, or a task that links them straight to the response they need.

What are iMatter, uMatter, and WeMatter?

They are the three connected parts of the scorecard cycle.

iMatter is the participant's self-reflection. uMatter is the reviewer response. WeMatter is the shared workshop where performance differences are aligned and final agreements are made.

What do the workflow statuses mean?

The workflow statuses describe where the scorecard sits in the review cycle: No responses, Self-Reflection, Manager Review, Feedback Workshop, Completed, and Archived.

These are different from list-level progress labels such as Submitted, In Progress, and Overdue.

Why can't I open a scorecard?

Usually, one of three things is true. The relevant stage has not been submitted yet. A visibility rule is delaying access. Or the scorecard has not reached the point where that response becomes available, especially in the move towards WeMatter.

Where possible, WeMatter explains the reason directly in the interface.

When can a reviewer see iMatter?

Only after iMatter has been submitted and the participant's chosen visibility setting allows access.

If the participant chose to wait until the reviewer response is submitted, access only opens after uMatter has been sent.

When can the participant see uMatter?

Only after uMatter has been submitted and the selected visibility option allows it.

Depending on that setting, uMatter can be shared immediately, after iMatter is submitted, or after the WeMatter workshop is complete.

Why is WeMatter unavailable?

WeMatter only becomes available once both iMatter and uMatter are submitted.

Even after that, the participant may still be blocked from opening it directly if uMatter visibility is being held until after the workshop. That supports a facilitated conversation rather than pre-reading in the platform.

For the fuller explanation of workshop access and agreement rules, read WeMatter Workshop and Alignment.

Can I edit a submitted scorecard?

Not directly. Submitted and archived scorecards are read-only.

If a change is needed, a WeMatter lead, admin, or RPO user must unsubmit the relevant stage first.

Can I launch another scorecard if one already exists?

Not while the participant still has a live scorecard. That active scorecard must be resolved first, usually by completion, archival, or deletion where appropriate.

What needs to be true before a scorecard can launch?

The organisation must have engagement areas and Human Performance Indicators set up. The participant must have a framework assigned. And that framework must be published, contain competencies, and cover all of the organisation's Human Performance Indicators.

What rating scales do scorecards use?

Engagement uses a 1-10 scale from Unacceptable to Industry Leading. Performance uses either a 4-point or 5-point scale, depending on the organisation's configuration.

Are scorecards anonymous?

No. Scorecards are not anonymous.

Visibility settings control when someone can read a response, not whether the author or reviewer is hidden.

Can reviewers or deadlines be changed?

Yes, where the relevant role has permission.

Deadlines can be updated while the scorecard is active. Reviewer management is more restricted and is handled by admins or RPO users.

What happens after a scorecard is submitted?

Depending on the stage, WeMatter can generate written insights, charts, alignment views, and later the PDF output for the completed workshop. The final scorecard can also feed into goal creation.

As a result, scorecards matter beyond the review itself. They become part of what the platform uses next.
