FAQ
Common questions about Engagement Signals snapshots, comparisons, sharing, and narrative generation.
This page collects the questions that tend to come up most often once teams start using Engagement Signals in real reporting cycles.
Why can I not access Engagement Signals?
Engagement Signals is currently permissioned for organisation users with the required access and role level. In the current product, this is aimed at admins and RPO users.
Why did my snapshot complete without the AI narrative?
Engagement Signals can complete the structured report even when there is not enough useful comment evidence to support a strong narrative. This usually happens when the written feedback is too sparse, too short, or too repetitive.
Why is a comparison missing for a group?
Some comparisons are only shown when there is enough comparable data for that group inside the saved cohort. If a group has too few responses or no matching previous-period data, the comparison may be unavailable or should be treated as directional only.
Why does the report not use every comment?
Engagement Signals deliberately curates the evidence pool. It filters for stronger written feedback, groups related anecdotes into patterns, and selects representative examples so the narrative is not dominated by repetition or noise.
Can one person appear in more than one manager comparison?
Yes. Manager comparisons can overlap because a profile can be connected to more than one manager for reporting purposes.
What does low sample size mean?
It means the group is based on a small number of responses. The signal may still be useful, but it should be interpreted with more caution and less certainty.
What is the difference between full and anonymous public sharing?
Full sharing keeps the report closer to the normal snapshot view. Anonymous sharing removes or suppresses identifying details and some sensitive comparison context so the report is safer to circulate more widely.
Why does a public link say the snapshot is unavailable?
This usually means the link is switched off, has been regenerated, the snapshot is not completed yet, or the snapshot has been deleted.
Is a snapshot live forever?
No. A snapshot is a saved reporting artefact created from a defined set of scorecards and cohort settings. It is designed to preserve a reporting moment, not to update continuously as new scorecards arrive.
