Share and Export
How to export Engagement Signals data, manage public links, and understand the difference between full and anonymous sharing.
Snapshot actions
Completed snapshots support a small set of actions that make reporting easier to reuse and distribute. In practical terms, that means you can rename the snapshot, export the underlying data to CSV, manage public share links, and delete the report when it is no longer needed.
Rename
Keep reports recognisable across reporting cycles.
Export
Take the underlying data into another workflow when needed.
Share
Publish a stakeholder-friendly version of the report.
Delete
Retire reports that should no longer stay in the workspace.
Those actions matter because Engagement Signals is not only an analysis space. It is also a communication tool. A report often needs to move beyond the person who generated it.
CSV export
Engagement Signals can export the underlying scorecard data from a snapshot as a CSV file. This is useful when you want to inspect the raw data outside the report, build your own board pack, or combine Signals output with other internal reporting workflows.
The export can include the participant and submission context, region, department, and manager details, area-level ratings, area-level feedback, and summary feedback. In other words, it gives you access to the raw material that supports the report rather than only the finished presentation layer.
CSV export is most useful when you need:
- raw review outside the platform
- custom board or client packs
- integration with a wider reporting process
Public sharing
Engagement Signals supports two public sharing modes. A full public link shares the report without the internal management controls and is best used when the audience needs something close to the internal report view. An anonymous public link is designed for wider circulation where participant privacy needs more protection.
In anonymous mode, identifying detail such as participant names, avatars, some raw identity context, and manager-specific comparison detail is removed or suppressed. That makes it easier to share the overall story of the snapshot without exposing more personal context than necessary.
A practical default
If the audience is broad, anonymous sharing is usually the safer starting point.
Live, off, and regenerated links
Share links are not automatically public. Each link can be switched Live when you want it to work and turned Off when you want public access removed. You can also regenerate a link when an older URL should stop working, for example if it has travelled too widely or a reporting cycle has ended.
If a public snapshot is unavailable, the usual reasons are that the link has been switched off, regenerated, the snapshot is not completed, or the snapshot has been deleted.
A sensible sharing approach
In most cases, it makes sense to use full public links only for tightly controlled stakeholder groups and to prefer anonymous public links when the audience is broader. CSV export should usually be reserved for situations where the recipient genuinely needs raw data rather than the interpreted report.
When in doubt, lean towards the more privacy-conscious option.
